So truly it is hard to believe we are writing this! As some of you know we lost our precious Stormy December 16th after fourteen and a half amazing years of friendship and loyalty. It was just eleven days later her son Brutus developed seizures.  Brutus was never separated from his mother prior to this so it was our greatest fear that he would grieve his mothers passing.  If you ever question the connection between the heart and the physical well being let Brutus be a testament of this!

To see Brutus was to witness a magnificent canine!  Not to be proud parents but he was from champion lines and through the years we witnessed his agility and strength. Although he didn’t know it…he was just a great big bear of a dog with so much vitality it kind of oozed out of him.  He had the temperament of a teddy bear just all around a buddy of a dog.

Stormy and Brutus were a large part of our lives and a large part of us as a family and a couple. Their memories are woven throughout our years raising all 4 of our children.  They enriched our home greatly with their sweet spirits and unconditional love.  In a way they taught us to be less selfish as we learned how to give because of them.  They in effect grounded us.

Initially it was so hard to believe that this chapter of our lives had come to a sudden, almost abrupt, end as if we couldn’t breathe.  There are times when the house is quiet, we sense their presence. Not like a spirit or a ghost, but the sense of what always was.

There is a terrible emptiness where these companions once embraced our lives, our family, our home.  Nevertheless we are truly thankful for the experience of sharing love and life with them all these years.  Someone once said when you love deeply heartbreak is deeper.  Stormy and Brutus you will be forever in our hearts.

Diffusing daily, we are grateful for the Adaptiv blend to help see us through this time.
