Grilled Summer Savory Lemon Chicken Marinade
Ingredients:
1 lemon, juiced
1 tablespoons olive oil
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
¼–½ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1 drop Summer Savory oil
2–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Optional: ¼ teaspoon ground mustard
Instructions:
• Combine lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and Summer Savory oil in a gallon-sized sealable plastic bag with the chicken and shake to combine.
• You can also use a large bowl or food storage container and mix the marinade ingredients before adding the chicken. If you choose this option, be sure to cover and seal the bowl or container with its lid.
• Place in the refrigerator to marinate, occasionally flipping the bag over. Let the chicken marinate for at least 3 hours up to 12 hours. Remove from the refrigerator 5–15 minutes before grilling.
• Grill chicken on a medium to medium high temperature for about 5–7 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
• Enjoy! Consider serving Grilled Summer Savory Lemon Chicken with quinoa or brown rice, roasted vegetables, and of course, a juicy watermelon.
